Gabi has a free moment with the day off school. She's sitting on the sofa studying the excel spread sheet of her class members, learning their parents' names. She tells me, "There are 4 kids in my class who live on Rechasim." I feel such a mixture of pleasure and regret seeing her occupied with the way I spend my work days.
As I clean up, or try to, I think of my Grandma, Zena, of course. There will never be a time that a household task does not have her tremendous presence looming over it. I realize the depression mentality where everything could be used and nothing should be thrown away is not an asset in the world of pre-school crafts and tiny toy parts.
I have a long list so this is a short post. Shanah tovah to all!
